How to Setup JLiveChat
Purchase a subscription here. JLiveChat is a hosted solution that uses enterprise level messaging the subscription will provide you with the server connection in order to power the livechat. Once your subscription is processed by PayPal you will be returned to our site and will be prompted for account information. This will be used to create your account and configure your website chat icons.
Download the Joomla Module from here
Install the Joomla Module through the Joomla Installer Administrator Console->Extensions->Install/Uninstall (noted (1) below).

 

 

Configure the Module. From the Administrator Console select Extensions->Module Manager (noted (2) above) select the module Joomla Live Chat by jLiveChat check the Enabled radio button (noted (2) below), select the Module position (noted (3) below) and enter your account in the account field(noted (4) below). Note: your account will be emailed to you in your welcome email, after your subscription is approved.

  Check your website. You should now have a LiveChat Icon which will display a status of Offline.

Download the Spark IM client. Spark is required to connect to the jLiveChat server. Spark can be download here. Once you download install Spark and launch the client. Complete the following configuration:

Enter Username (provided in your welcome subscription information)
Enter Password (provided in your welcome subscription information)
Server: jlivechat.com


Spark should now login and afew seconds later if you refresh your website you will observe the LiveChat Status icon will change to Online.

You are now able to receive LiveChat conversations.
